While breast cancer has public visibility with pink ribbons, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and "Walks for the Cure," there are still missing pieces when it comes to research, treatment, and patient care.
One woman has set out to make a difference while battling Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer herself. Despite receiving somber news on her own diagnosis, Carolyn has put in her remaining life savings into starting her own non-profit North Star Cancer Foundation. She hopes to "create miracles for all of us diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and find a silver lining in my journey.”
With the help of the 4:12 Foundation, some of Carolyn's everyday living expenses were covered so that she can remain focused on her personal mission.
