Lauren's Story
Proud to Support a Hero in Her Fight Against Cardiac Sarcoma
Thanks to the generous donations from the 2024 Golf and Dinner Event, we are proud to announce that a significant grant has been donated to help Lauren in her battle against cancer.
Lauren, a devoted firefighter, ICU nurse, and mother of three, has recently been diagnosed with Cardiac Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She faces the daunting challenge of a growing mass in her left atrium and ventricle, as well as another in her neck.
Lauren has spent her life serving others, earning the nickname "Spanner" in her fire department and later thriving in the ICU as a nurse. Her relentless spirit has inspired everyone around her. Despite her own struggles, she has always been the first to offer help to those in need.
Currently out of work and preparing for open-heart surgery, Lauren is focused on her recovery and her children. With this grant, we hope to ease her financial burdens, allowing her to concentrate on her health and family during this difficult time.
