Enzo is a 6-year-old boy with a complex medical history that includes cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, adrenal insufficiency, and blindness. Being born very prematurely, he has cognitive and developmental delays, is minimally verbal and has challenges with mobility. As a result, Enzo is at high-risk for falling, especially at night. Falling is especially dangerous for him due to a shunt in place that controls the pressure on his brain. Enzo does not have normal sleep cycles and has a strong desire to chew things that are unsafe.
Previously, Enzo slept in a toddler bed with partial railings. While this allowed him to transfer in and out independently, there remained a gap where he could fall out and become entrapped, unable to free himself due to physical limitations.
The 4:12 Foundation granted Enzo a brand-new Cubby Bed from the funds raised at our golf outing in August, 2023. This bed provides Enzo with a safe and secure place to sleep and give his parents the ability to monitor for seizure activity.

We truly appreciate all that you have done for us and the amazing work that you do for families in our situation. Having a child with special needs comes with so many challenges and barriers but you have taken this one thing off of our plate and allowed him to have an exciting cool bed like any other typical kiddo."
